Account details: name, email address, phone number, and password (hashed).
Booking details: vehicle information, service location, preferred time slots, and job history.
Payment details: payments are handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
Location data: approximate location used to match you with nearby detailers, and live tracking data during an active job.
Photos: before and after photos taken by your detailer, used as proof of service.
Device data: push notification token, device type, and IP address.

2. How we use your data

To create and manage your account.
To match you with available detailers and process bookings.
To process payments, authorisations, refunds, and payouts.
To send booking updates, job stage notifications, and reminders.
To verify detailers and maintain platform quality.
To handle guarantee claims and disputes.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. Sharing your data

We share only the data necessary to deliver the service:

Detailers receive your name, vehicle details, service location, and contact details to complete the job.
Stripe processes your payments under their own privacy policy.
Service providers such as hosting, mapping, and push notification providers, under data processing agreements.
Authorities where required by law.

4. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time from your dashboard, or by contacting us below. You may also opt out of marketing communications.

5. Data security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, row-level security on the database, and role-based access controls. Payment data never passes through our servers in raw form.

6. Data retention

We keep booking and account data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping and dispute resolution. You can request account deletion at any time.

7. Children

Gleam is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
